Welcome to the home page of Omicron Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the first African-American sorority founded by college-trained women in 1908. Omicron Upsilon Omega has continued its legacy of sisterhood and service to the Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut community for more than 26 years. I am proud to lead this group of college-educated and professional women who are dedicated to providing "Global Leadership Through Timeless Service" to lower Fairfield County and beyond.
Through the years we have granted more than $80,000 dollars in scholarships to college-bound students, provided leadership and financial training for youth, offered summer reading programs, and partnered with various organizations, including the George Washington Carver Center, the Joyce Yerwood Center, NAACP, Urban League, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., 100 Black Men of Stamford, and the Fairfield County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, to expand our services to the community. We are excited about recent programs such as our Emerging Young Leaders initiative for girls in Grades 6 through 8, and our Social Justice and Human Rights initiative which provides assistance to women and children at domestic violence safe houses. Please visit our photo gallery to learn more about our service programs and view our chapter calendar to learn about our new and exciting activities.
Thank you for visiting our website. Please come again.
